Fall Out Boy는 미국 일리노이 윌멧에서 결성된 펑크 록 밴드이며, Patrick Stump (메인 보컬, 기타)와 Joe Trohman (기타), Pete Wentz (베이스), Andy Hurley (드럼)로 구성되어 있다. 2003년 Fueled by Ramen 과의 계약 후 발표한 [Take This To Your Grave]로 데뷔했고, 2005년 5월 두 번째 스튜디오 앨범 [From Under The Cork Tree]를 발매했다.

 

이 앨범은 빌보드 앨범 차트에서 9위를 차지하며 발매 첫 주에만 6만 8천 장이 팔렸고, 더블 플래티넘을 달성했다. 리드 싱글인 'Sugar, We're Goin' Down'은 빌보드 싱글 차트 8위에 랭크되었고, 두 번째 싱글 'Dance, Dance'도 미국에서 10위권에 오르는 등 큰 성공을 거두게 되었다.

이어 발매된 앨범 [Folie à Deux]는 빌보드 앨범 차트에서 8위를 기록하며 발매 첫 주에만 15만 장의 판매고를 올린다. 또한 빌보드 록과 얼터너티브 앨범 차트 3위에 오르며 골드를 달성하기도 했다. 긴 휴식기를 지나고 2013년, 정규 5집 앨범 [Save Rock And Roll]을 발표했다. 이 앨범은 빌보드 앨범 차트 1위에 오르며 그들의 화려한 귀환을 알렸다. 록 오페라 형식과 스토리텔링이 조합된 이 앨범은 발매 첫 주에 15만 4천 장의 판매고를 올리며 하늘을 찌르는 인기를 누렸고, 2018년, 대망의 정규 7집 앨범 [M A N I A]와 함께 돌아와 전세계 록 팬들을 열광하게 했다.
