FIRSTSEX-Fish Feear

FIRSTSEX는 어리숙하지만 깊은 내면을 가진 소년의 ‘첫경험’을 모토로 한 음악을 발매하는 아티스트다. 모든 것이 처음이라 서툰 한 소년의 자아를 통해 비슷한 서툶을 가진 사람들을 치유하는 음악을 만드는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.

 

 

물고기 공포증을 다룬 노래 'Fish Feear'는 '두려움을 이겨내는 어른'의 모습을 담고 있다. 어렸을 적 나는 물고기의 눈을 무서워했다. 수산시장 한가운데 달랑 머리만 남아있는 물고기의 눈을 보고 무서워진 것이다.

나이가 들면서 물고기 공포증은 사라졌지만, 새로운 두려움이 그 공백을 채웠다.  바로 사람들의 시선이었다.

최근 세간의 비판을 받은 사건을 자초했다.  많은 것들을 배우고 느낄 기회였기도 했지만, 동시에 이전에는 느끼지 못했던 두려움을 마주하게 됐다. 어려운 세상이 냉혹한 시선을 보낼 때, 나는 어떠한 방식으로 그것을 이겨내야 하는 걸까?  

처음에는 그저 가사 내용처럼 'Don`t Look at Me'(나를 쳐다보지 마). 그렇게 외치고 싶다가도. 결국 도망쳐버렸을 때 아무것도 아니게 될 것들을 되뇌이고는, 다르게 결심했다.  

냉소와 두려움을 이겨내고 더 성숙한 사람이 될 것이다.  그래야 한다는 마음으로. 마음속의 두려움을 고백하며 다시 시작한다.
