'The Weekend'는 비비만의 유니크한 매력과 강인한 여성의 면모를 보여주는 노래로, 미국 싱어송라이터 다바(Dava)가 작사하고 강다니엘, 트래비스 스콧(Travis Scott)과 협업했던 시애틀 출신 프로듀서 맥스&카일(max & kyle)과 프로듀서 핑크 슬립(Pink Slip)이 프로듀싱을 맡았다.

 

88라이징 양승진 부사장은 비비와 윤미래 두 아티스트 모두가 'The Weekend' 음원을 듣자마자 '이곡이다!'라고 반응했다"라며 이번 협업에 대한 배경을 설명했다.

양승진 부사장은 "역대 K-Pop 가수가 낸 팝곡 중에서 가장 좋은 곡이 아닐까 싶다. 이미 미국 업계에서 곡에 대한 반응이 매우 뜨겁다. 비비의 또 다른 면모를 느껴볼 수 있을 것"이라고 말했다.
