3인조 얼터너티브 록 밴드 LANY (레이니)는 Paul Jason Klein, Charles Leslie "Les" Priest, Jake Clifford Goss로 구성되어 있다. 데뷔 이전 사운드 클라우드에 자신들의 음악을 올리면서 활동을 시작했고, 크고 작은 공연을 통해 인지도를 높여왔다.

 

2014년, 싱글 'Hot Lights', 'Walk Away'에 이어  첫 미니앨범 [Acronyms]를 발매했다. 2016년 3월 'Where The Hell Are My Friends'을 발표, 이후 Troye Sivan, X Ambassadors, Ellie Goulding 등의 콘서트 투어에 하면서 뛰어난 음악성을 입증했다.

이후 미니앨범 [Make Out]의 타이틀곡 'ILYSB'로 많은 리스너들의 마음을 사로잡았으며, 편안한 비트와 담백한 사운드 속 중독성 넘치는 보컬로 주목을 받았다. 2017년 첫 정규 앨범 [LANY]를 통해 레트로 감성과 미래적인 신스팝의 만남을 선보이며 트렌드를 이끌었고, 2020년 세 번째 스튜디오 앨범 [mama's boy]로는 미국 차트 7위에 오르며 좋은 성적을 거뒀다.
