SBS 월화드라마 ‘치얼업’ OST Part.9 ‘페퍼톤스 (PEPPERTONES)-STEP’ 음원 발매! 종영까지 단 4회만을 남겨두며, SBS 월화드라마 ‘치얼업’이 극의 후반부에 들어선 가운데 ‘페퍼톤스 (PEPPERTONES)’가 가창에 참여한 아홉 번째 음원 ‘STEP’이 공개되었다.

 

‘치얼업’ OST Part.9 ‘STEP’은 ‘치얼업’ 주인공들이 새로운 순간에 한 발짝 다가서는 순간에 스코어로 쓰였던 곡이다. 무대로 나서는 첫 발걸음, 관중들 앞 ‘테이아’로서 몸소 느꼈던 첫 희열, 사랑하는 이에게 느낀 첫 감정…

이번 곡은 극중 초반에 가사 없이 스코어로 쓰였기에 음악감독이자 곡 제작자인 ‘신재평’에게 때로는 막연한 ‘치얼업’ 때로는 ‘e.s.o.m’이라는 암호 같은 이름으로 불려졌으며, 연출감독에겐 ‘치트키’라는 별명으로, 매 촬영 나가기 전 아침마다 듣는다는 극 중 ‘도해이’역의 ‘한지현’ 배우에게는 ‘빰빰빰빰’이라는 이름으로 불렸다. 제목과 가사도 없이 미완성이었던 이 노래에 ‘‘페퍼톤스 (PEPPERTONES)’ 멤버 ‘이장원’이 가사를 붙여 더욱 생기를 불어넣어주었으며, ‘STEP’이라는 이름과 함께 완성도 높은 곡으로 재탄생하게 되어 발매를 손꼽아 기다렸던 시청자와 리스너에게 공개되었다.
