정재형 연작 시리즈 [HOME] 프로젝트, 두번째 싱글 ‘Dance of Phrase (Feat. 김아일)’ 공개

 

‘나로부터 시작된 소리에 귀 기울이며 느껴지는 사소한 행복들을 채워 나가자’라는 소소하지만 확실한 메시지에서 출발한 정재형의 연작 시리즈 〈HOME〉. 지난 3월, ‘Feather of the Spring’ 을 통해 생동감 넘치는 찬란한 봄의 소리를 알린 이후 푸르른 여름, 싱글 ‘Dance of Phrase (Feat. 김아일)’ 로 프로젝트의 두 번째 문을 열었다.

이번 싱글 ‘Dance of Phrase (Feat. 김아일)’는 클래식부터 영화 음악, 대중 가요에 이르기까지 끝없이 확장되고 있는 정재형의 음악적 스펙트럼 속에서 또 한번 과감하면서도 실험적인 면모를 엿볼 수 있는 일렉트로닉 사운드 기반의 연주곡이다.

 

 

곡 제목처럼 하나의 음이 한 프레이즈(Phrase)가 되어 화성이 되고 화성이 구성을 이루어 한 곡이 되는, 음악을 구성하는 최소 단위가 최대 단위가 되어 하나의 곡이 완성되는 일련의 과정을 여러가지 소리들을 통해 감각적으로 구현해냈다.

초저음역대의 베이스 라인과 초고음역대의 사운드 소스들이 조화롭게 어우러져 몰입을 높이는 한편, 곡 후반부의 쏟아지는 듯한 랩핑이 다이나믹을 더하며 쉴 틈 없이 듣는 재미를 극대화한다. 랩핑에는 신선한 음악으로 힙합씬에서 주목받고 있는 래퍼 김아일이 목소리를 보탰으며 김아일은 특유의 독특한 보이스 톤과 물 흐르듯 유려한 플로우로 곡의 에너지를 한층 끌어올렸다. 

익숙하지 않은 음악을 듣는 즐거움을 선사하고 싶은 바람을 지닌 정재형의 연작 시리즈 [HOME] 프로젝트는 추후 계속해서 그 울림을 이어갈 예정이다.
