미국 출신의 래퍼 겸 싱어송라이터 Lizzo (리조)는 2014년 [Lizzobangers]로 데뷔해 밀도 높은 힙합 사운드와 강렬한 래핑을 들려주었고, 이어 영국 밴드 Bastille의 'Torn Apart, Pt II'와 Clean Bandit의 'New Eyes'에 피처링에 참여해 남다른 그루브를 선보였다.

 

이후 공개한 [Big GRRRL Small World], [Coconut Oil], [Truth Hurts]를 통해 Lizzo만의 소울 가득한 보컬로 리스너들을 사로잡았으며 자신을 사랑하자는 메시지와 인종차별에 대한 내용을 담아 대중의 이목을 집중시켰다.
