국내 최초 재즈 레이블 "Verve" 뮤지션 Moon(혜원), 디지털 싱글 [Spring Bird] 발매. 이번 디지털 싱글 [Spring Bird]는 전 세계인의 재즈 축제인 "인터내셔널 재즈 데이(International Jazz Day)"를 맞아 발표하는 앨범이다.

 

미국의 싱어송 라이터 지미 웹(Jimmy Webb)의 "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress", 리차드 로저스(Richard Rodgers), 오스카 해머스타인 2세(Oscar Hammerstine II) 콤비의 로맨틱한 재즈 스탠다드 넘버인 "It Might As Well Be Spring"을 수록하였다.

"It Might As Well Be Spring"에서는 경쾌한 라틴 터치로 봄날의 설레는 감정을 담아 노래 하고 있다. 특히 후주부에 펼쳐지는 보컬 코러스는 곡의 감정을 절정으로 이끈다. "아름다운 스탠다드 넘버들을 부를 수 있는 좋은 기회를 또 한번 가지게 되어 매우 기쁘다" 라며 작업에 대한 애정을 드러낸 MOON(혜원)은 인터내셔널 재즈데이 기념 공연인 "2022 Seoul Jazz Festa"무대에서도 역시 이 곡들을 선보일 예정이다.
이어지는 트랙인 "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress"에서는 조용히 읊조리듯 흘러가는 MOON(혜원)의 보컬과 기타리스트 준 스미스의 듀오 연주로 시작하는 도입부에서는 오랫동안 함께 연주 해 온 재즈 뮤지션 사이의 호흡을 느낄 수 있으며, 피아니스트 심규민, 베이시스트 장승호, 드러머 신동진의 협연으로 이어지며 MOON(혜원)의 보컬 또한 자연스럽게 고조 되며 독보적인 존재감을 드러낸다.
