쿠바 아바나 출신 미국 가수 Camila Cabello (카밀라 카베요)는 Celia Cruz, Alejandro Fernandez 등 라틴 아티스트의 영향을 받았으며, 학창 시절 본격적으로 음악 활동을 하기 위해 학업을 중단, 미국판 "더 엑스 팩터"에 출연했다.

 

오디션 프로그램을 통해 결성된 그룹 Fifth Harmony로 시즌이 끝날 때까지 승승장구했고, 2013년 싱글 'Better Together'를 발매하며 주목받는 신예 걸그룹으로 부상하게 되는데, 여기에는 Camilla Cabello의 아기자기한 외모와 상반되는 파워풀한 가창력이 그룹의 인기를 견인했다고 볼 수 있다.
