2015년 7월, 백업 밴드 없이 오직 자신의 목소리와 기타 한 대, 그리고 루프 스테이션과 함께 무대에 오른 에드는 공연 첫 날 Elton John과 특별한 듀엣 무대를 선보이기도 했다.

 

그의 새로운 도전이자 커리어 중 가장 빛나는 순간이었던 웸블리에서의 단독 공연은 3일 연속 매진에 약 24만 명의 관객을 사로잡으며 성공적으로 마무리 됐다.

인터뷰를 통해 웸블리 스타디움 공연 말고도 가지고 있는 야망 중 하나인 자신의 레이블을 설립하고 싶다고 말했던 Ed Sheeran은 드디어 회사 런칭 소식을 알렸다.

 

 

레이블의 이름은 바로 본인의 트레이드 마크라고 할 수 있는 '진저브레드 맨 레코드 (Gingerbread Man Records)' 였다. 레이블을 만든 이유에 대해서 그는 돈을 벌기 위한 목적이 아닌 "라디오에서 쿨한 음악이 나왔으면 하는 마음"에서 시작했다고 했다.

2017년 3월, 그는 세 번째 앨범인 [÷]를 발매했고 곧이어 영국과 미국 앨범차트 1위에 오른다. 앨범의 싱글 'Shape Of You'와 'Castle On The Hill'은 호주, 독일 등 전세계 여러 나라의 차트에 올랐고, 이 앨범의 곡들은 Calvin Harris, Beyonce 등 최고의 가수와 함께 리믹스 되어 주목을 받았다. 이 열풍은 한국에서도 이어져, 긴 시간 멜론 종합차트 Top 10을 지키는 등 팝아티스트로서는 기록적인 사랑을 받았으며 결국 전세계에서 가장 많은 앨범을 판매한 아티스트에 오르는 기염을 토했다.
