지환-JFK 

이 앨범은 지극히 사적인 이야기이지만, 동시에 모두의 이야기이기도 하다. 우리는 서로 다르나, 비슷한 고민과 질문을 안고 살아가기에 어쩌면 우린 생각하는 것만큼 서로에게 타인(stranger)이 아닐지도 모른다.

 

그럼에도 불구하고 누군가를 완전히 이해한다는 건 어려운 일이기에, 이 앨범을 통해 드리고 싶은 건 어설픈 공감보다는 ‘위로’라고 표현하는 것이 더 적절하겠다. ‘i’m no stranger to you(나는 네게 낯선 이가 아니다)’라는 이름처럼, 이 안에 담긴 곡들이 내미는 손을 기꺼이 잡아주길 바란다.

1. JFK
당시 유학생이었던 전 연인이 뉴욕으로 돌아가게 되면서 쓴 곡입니다. 몸이 멀어지면 마음 또한 멀어진다는 말을 부정하고 싶었지만, 마음 한편에는 결국 그렇게 되리란 걸 알고 있었던 것 같습니다. 비록 영원할 순 없으나 당시에 느꼈던 순수했던 감정들을 잊지 않기 위해 쓰게 되었습니다.
