저는 집에서 되게 무뚝뚝한 성격이라 부모님께 사랑한다는 말이 굉장히 어렵거든요. 사랑한단 말을 어떻게 쉽게 할 수 있을까 고민하다가. 노래로 만들어 불러 보면 잘 할 수 있을 것 같다는 생각을 했어요.

 

1절의 벌스 부분에서는 '이 노래가 연인들의 이야기구나' 생각하게 만들다가 코러스로 넘어가면서 자녀와 부모님의 이야기임을 깨닫게 하는 반전 있는 가사로, 뮤직비디오에서도 그런 장치를 넣기 위해 고민을 많이 했어요.

부모님과 함께 부르면 너무나 아름다울 것 같은 음악입니다.

이렇게 이번 싱글부터, 가사를 연인들의 사랑에만 국한시키는 것보다 더 커다란 사랑이나, 삶에서 느꼈던 것에 대해 노래해 보고 싶어요. 앞으로 나올 음악들도 기대해 주세요. :)
