한국의 대표 R&B 및 힙합 아티스트 범키와 뉴욕을 기반으로 하여 전 세계 대중을 겨냥해 활동 중인 EDM DJ 겸 프로듀서 아레스 카터 (Ares Carter)가 콜라보레이션 음원 ‘Alright’을 발매했다.

 

‘Alright’은 동서양 아티스트들의 콜라보레이션 음원을 전문으로 발매하는 레이블인 CONECTD의 새로운 댄스 팝 트랙으로, 바쁜 일상을 보내고 사랑하는 연인과 함께 모든 것을 잊고 단둘이 주말을 보내고 싶은 마음을 담은 곡이다.

들으면 기분이 좋아지는 음악을 만들고 싶었던 아레스 카터의 프로듀싱과 일상의 무료함을 잊고 함께 어디론가 떠나고 싶은 마음을 듣는 모든 이들에게 전하고자 했던 범키의 가사가 함께 어우러져 곡의 분위기를 한껏 더 높였다.

이번 콜라보레이션에 참여한 아티스트 범키는 독보적인 음색과 소울 감성으로 수많은 팬층을 보유하고 있는 R&B 및 힙합 아티스트다. 범키는 올해 초 싱글 ‘LOST’를 시작으로, 브랜뉴뮤직 창립 10주년 기념 ‘TEN PROJECT’ 싱글에서 양다일과 함께 싱글 ‘집이 돼줄게’를 7년 만에 리메이크하는 등 올 한 해 꾸준한 활동을 이어오고 있다.

아레스 카터는 미국 뉴욕 기반의 EDM DJ 겸 프로듀서이다. 앞서 발매한 그의 싱글 ‘Faking’은 스트리밍 플랫폼에서 300만 회 이상의 스트리밍 수를 기록하며 빌보드(Billboard)와 스포티파이(Spotify)의 주목을 받기도 했다. 최근 싱어송라이터 Charlotte Haining과 함께 한 아레스 카터의 싱글 ‘Out Of Lives’는 시뮬레이션 비디오 게임인 FIFA 22의 사운드트랙으로 선정되었다.
