신예 싱어송라이터 박지우의 5번째 싱글 ＜US＞는, 체화된 슬픔을 음악이라는 언어로 발화해 낸 작업이다. 박지우는 영원히 빠져나오지 못할 것 같았던 철장 속에서 앞을 볼 수 없던 채로 갇혀 있었던 과거를 떠올리며 ＜US＞를 세상 밖으로 꺼내놓았다.

 

전작에서 자신과 같은 어려움을 겪는 이들에게 음악을 통한 공감과 위로를 보내온 박지우는 이번 ＜US＞ 을 통해, 그간 무표정 속에 억압되어온 슬픔의 감정적 제약을 뛰어넘기를 희망한다.

그리하여 건강한 일상으로 돌아올 수 있게 해 준 세상의 모든 존재가, 현실을 마주볼 수 있는 힘을 서로에게 보내는 수호자가 될 수 있기를 기원한다.
