미국에서 활동하는 팝, 일렉트로닉 싱어송라이터 Lauv (라우브)는 대학 시절 작곡가로 활동해 2014년 'The Other'를 발표하면서 가수로서의 본격적인 커리어를 시작했다. Cheat Codes와 Demi Lovato의 'No Promises', Charli XCX의 'Boys' 등을 작곡하면서 음악적 역량을 넓혔고 'I Like Me Better'로 빌보드 Hot 차트 27위, RIAA 기준 플래티넘을 기록했다.

 

이후 싱글 'Easy Love', 'Paris in the Rain', 'There's No Way' 등을 공개했으며, 그의 인기 곡들과 자신의 이야기를 담아낸 컴필레이션 앨범 [I met you when I was 18. (the playlist)]와 감성적인 멜로디와 목소리가 인상적인 데뷔 앨범 [~how i'm feeling~]을 발매해 팬들의 호평을 받았다.
